Software Engineer

SuperIT is redefining how IT services are delivered to businesses. We are building a platform that enables AI agents to deliver superhuman IT support to end users by augmenting the helpdesk teams of internal IT departments or Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The end result: • End-users get a dedicated and personalised superhuman IT AI engineer available to them 24/7 • Human IT engineers can focus on complex, rewarding work — rather than the drudge work • IT teams and MSPs can scale excellent service to their customers like software Given that IT issue resolution and service delivery can be considered a verifiable domain (we can programmatically verify whether a solution is correct most of the time), we have an enormous opportunity to build and deliver IT services at a level beyond expert human level, via generative AI models.

Engineers who: • Are curious about the application of AI to this industry vertical and are willing to go deep into rabbit holes in search of optimal solutions • Have a bias towards action, moving quickly and will raise initiatives with a plan backed by data • Take ownership of their projects, including the problems and issues that come with them • Are self-starters with the agency to do things that need to be done, follow through to completion, know when to ask questions and raise issues early • Are willing to be hands-on with the full development cycle, including customer discussions, scoping, planning, development, testing, documentation, deployment and user feedback • Are comfortable with ambiguity and happy to work together with the team to experiment to find the truth rapidly • Can communicate constructively, accept feedback and are willing to dedicate time to understand problems at their root • Are comfortable with full-stack development, happy to learn new technologies and flexible to work where they are most needed This role will work closely with the founders and early customers to build and scale the software platform as part of a tight-knit, collaborative team.

We want to solve real IT issues and deliver exceptional IT services directly to end users via real-time, natural language interfaces. Some of the tech we are building includes: • A Digital Twin to represent end-user IT infrastructure, allowing the AI Agent to perceive its environment and plan updates and changes • Remote monitoring and management software installed on end-user devices, gathering system metrics securely, built to scale to millions of devices • Innovative approaches to safety and security to ensure the AI agent can autonomously take action in production environments as part of IT troubleshooting • Deep integrations with third-party systems — PSA tools (HaloPSA, ConnectWise), knowledge base systems (IT Glue, Hudu), cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and more • AI agent context management, tool development and workflow control for exceptional IT support chat experiences • Custom front-end UI to present IT domain-specific information in a simple and intuitive way

Python, FastAPI, Pydantic AI, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Go (RMM Agent), PostgreSQL, Redis / Celery, NATS.io, Google Cloud, and all the top state-of-the-art gen-AI LLM models.

We are looking for engineers with demonstrable multi-year experience in startup, scaleup or large commercial software environments, on products with large domain models, used by 1,000 or more users, with evidence of exceptional execution and results. Direct experience in our industry vertical and/or with the technologies currently in use is desirable but not required.
